These are some of the sites I've helped develop while employed at Project A, Inc. Most are government solutions based on our product, GIB (Government In a Box), which is an ASP/SQLServer 7 solution.
We later developed the GIB foundational tools into ACT (Active Content Toolkit) which is an ASP/COM+/SQLServer 7 solution. By modifying the tools to suit other business sectors, we have begun to push out to non government clients with powerful solutions for a great value.
All of these sites feature a full set of HTML based data entry tools which allow the users to add and update their own content.

| | | | | Jackson County Website |
| This site was my first venture into the world of ASP and SQL Server. The tools we built for this client were the foundation of what became GIB. The entire site is written in VB Script and uses various 3rd party COM components for tasks such as uploading images, sending daily newsletters by email, and dynamically generating images.
- User may select from 3 different color schemes
- User may select the font face
- User may enable/disable content display as well as rearrange the order of content
- User may define a custom content filter, to
only show content meeting their criteria.

| | | | | City of Ashland Website |
| Based heavily on the work done for the Jackson County website, this site introduces a few new features:
- Expanding "tree" like menus
- Printer friendly formatting
- Ad banners using dynamically created images
- Improved Municipal Code tool
|
| | | | | City of Medford Website |
| This site represents the first implementation of the COM version of GIB. Core functionality was moved into a Visual Basic COM component, offering several advantages:
- Compiled code improved performance of the application
- Object Oriented approach adds improved data encapsulation and easier maintenance
- Objects can now be reused by other clients while being maintained in a single binary
|
| | | | | City of Colorado Springs Website |
| Colorado Springs was the first client to license the source code for GIB and host it on their own servers. This gave them the freedom to make their own changes and additions to the code. This was also our first GIB client to include eCommerce applications to serve their citizens more efficiently.- Supports content on distributed servers without interfering with the end users experience - Many different departments within the city have their own web servers with content they had hosted independently. We developed a "template" style wrapper that allows them to host their content while maintaining a consistent experience across the entire site.
- eCommerce Applications:
- Transit Passes - based on MS SiteServer Commerce Edition
- Concrete Permits - included full approval routing and email notification at each step of approval, custom built shopping cart solution.
- Excavation Permits - similar to Concrete Permits, uses same cart and payment functionality
- Realtime Flight Schedule - web interface tied into the City Airport flight schedule mainframe

| | | | | City of Mercer Island Website |
| Mercer Island required a Content Management System integrated into their site's backend. We built them a custom solution that allows an unlimited number of approval steps and content editing iterations before content appears on the website. We challenged ourselves by building a completely transparent CMA (Content Management and Archiving) backend while using the same front end display code that the Medford site is using, giving us the option of upgrading other GIB clients to the same CMA system without requiring migration of their existing data, or revision of the front end code. Other features include:
- Archiving - The site administrator can bring up a view of any content in the site for any given day in the site's history, including deleted content. The content can then be restored to the previous version with the click of a button.
- User activity reports - all edit/post/delete actions are logged, and statistics computed to give a picture of each user's daily activities.
- Preview - all content can be previewed before submitting.
- City Services - new portal style home page with major city services categorized and hotlinked to make navigation easier from the homepage.
